This project to build an upper floor extension was completed in timber frame construction. Timber frame is very popular with many customers having the benefit of quick construction without compromising build quality. Timber frame buildings have less heat loss than conventional buildings therefore prove to be more economical. The construction shown in this video is for a double bedroom with en suite facilities over a double garage.The conversion was completed within seven weeks.

When working to build a loft conversion it’s important that proper care is taken to protect the building and contents residing below. This loft conversion in Manchester at Westholme Road in Didsbury is a typical example. We began by using a full scaffold tower to cover the entire building and roof to provide total weather protection. This allows our customer complete peace of mind while our work is completed. The entire roof was removed after which a new roof was constructed with extensive use of Velux roof windows. This gave the new loft conversion plenty of natural light and a feeling of great space.
