Under Floor Insulation

If you own a house with a timber suspended ground floor then you may well know how cold air and draughts can make heating bills soar. The problem is that although loft insulation is now commonplace rarely will underfloor insulation have been installed particularly if your house is more than a few years old. Cold air can easily penetrate gaps in floor boards making your carpet feel cold no matter how high you turn up your heating.

However there is a solution as suspended timber floor insulation is not expensive to have installed and often can be completed within one day. Floor insulation boards are friction fixed and then stapled, improving under floor insulation dramatically and preventing cold air from entering your home.

Ground floor insulation is not difficult to install provided you know what you are doing but really you are better to get a professional building company or floor insulation installers to fit timber floor insulation.

That’s where we come in.

There is rarely much space below the ground floor in which to work and we have had plenty of experience in working in confined spaces. Access is often only needed from one point although sometimes, depending on the way the stretcher walls which support the timber floor joists were installed, we may need two openings.

Another benefit from using our floor insulation service is that we can usually complete the work within one day and we guarantee that we will cause as little disruption as possible. Currently we are installing around Tameside and Stockport so we can respond very quickly to your enquiry.

For more information on floor insulation please call us at our Manchester office 0161 343 5700. We will be pleased to visit and give a no obligation quotation.
